Josh's Bio

I have 10 years of experience as a chemist in the private sector where I started as an assistant laboratory technician and ended my career as the laboratory manager before switching to higher education.  I have over 10 years of experience working in academia, first as a laboratory technician then as a laboratory coordinator.  During my employment in higher education I have served as a mentor, research advisor, robotics club advisor, and robotics team coach

I have an associate of applied science degree in Biotechnology from Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Texas, a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

I am currently the Laboratory Coordinator for the Biosciences Department at Phoenix College.  I am committed to facilitating a creative world by inspiring people to improve their education, master leadership and accept change.  I understand not all people will like me. Others may despise me, but they will not affect me.

I am married with two kids and two dogs.   I enjoy camping, riding my motorcycle, working
with leather and building uniforms that others call costumes 😊

One quote that has stuck with me through the years...
“We have not succeeded in answering all our problems—indeed we sometimes feel we have not completely answered any of them. The answers we have found have only served to raise a whole set of new questions. In some ways we feel that we are as confused as ever, but we think we are confused on a higher level and about more important things.” –Earl C. Kelley
